Original letter on file
Dear NDM® Consultants,
Thank you for working with me through your movement program. The ongoing improvements in my life are wonderful. I will always be grateful for the help you gave me. I continue to recommend this program to others it might benefit.
As you know, when I first contracted NDM® Consultants in 2002, the ongoing difficulties I was experiencing from my head injury were preventing me from working. In fact, I had recently been told that all healing was completed and I should expect little improvement for the remainder of my life. It appeared that if I was able to marry, I could only manage a household and children by having live-in help available for whenever stress made me unable to function. My inability to cope with stress was my primary difficulty, but I also was very sensitive to missing any sleep or any changes in my sleep schedule; I was mentally rigid and had difficulty adapting to changing circumstances; my emotional and mental health were poor.
I completed your program in just over a year. That was 18 months ago, and I am happy to say I now lead a normal life. I married and moved cross-country, where I’ve successfully established friendships with people who see me as entirely well. Previously, everyone who knew me was aware of my disability. My husband and I were delighted by the birth of our son two months ago; an event I had been told would be a test for how complete the healing was. Could I handle the disruption to my routine of an infant? How did I handle the sleep loss? Could I successfully care for my baby? The answer to all of these is YES. Friends with several children have shared with me that the difficulties I’ve had, and the amount of hormonal surges I’ve had, are at or below average for new mothers.
Furthermore, my doctor has recently told me that if I continue as well as I have been for a few more months of adjusting to motherhood, she will write Social Security to cancel my disability benefits. As a fully functioning adult, I am no longer disabled. She shared with me that when I first walked in her office, she did not expect me to be able to handle any of these things again. She attributes my improvement to your program, as do I. Thank you for making this program available. I wish it were in every city!
I would be happy to share more personal information regarding my recovery on a private basis with anyone whom it might help.
Sincerely,
Tyrie J. Woodford
