Clients who come to NeuroDevelopmental Movement® (AKA Neurological Reorganization) to address their challenges range from those with learning issues, to stroke survivors, from those with diagnoses of Oppositional Defiance Disorder to apraxia of speech.
How could we possibly suggest that we could make a positive difference for so many individuals?
I remind my audiences that all of these issues start in the brain. Our unfinished, underdeveloped, disrupted, or traumatized neurological organization at any level of the central nervous system can be the source of:
- Coordination challenges (from walking gait problems to poor speech articulation),
- Social challenges (from social anxiety to the inability to read social cues),
- Learning challenges (from reversing letters, to be unable to pick out a main topic from a background of information),
- Emotional challenges (from sleep disruption to uncontrolled rages).
Each of these issues arise from a disruption or disorganization of functions in the brain itself.
Thus the brain is the central issue, and when you find a Central Cause, you need a Central Solution. Treating only the presenting symptom will not address the central, driving source of that symptom.
By assessing and providing programs for the levels of the brain that are demonstrating a gap in functioning, it is possible to stimulate the brain, the central problem in many diagnoses, to make the connections that may be missing and can be identified as the foundational source of the client’s concerns.
NeuroDevelopmental Movement® provides a Central Solution to a Central Problem.
